Teachers
Report Cards give teachers and parents an overview of how each student in the class is performing. By combining measures of recent performance and progress with measures of overall performance and progress, all key stakeholders will have direct insight into how to best meet the needs of each student.
The Report Cards can be found by selecting Reports on the left sidebar of the teacher home. On the Reports page, select Math or ELA, then select Report Cards (for math) or ELA Report Cards (for ELA).
On the first page of the Report Card, teachers can see an overview for each of their rosters in the selected class, which includes (for each student):
- Math: the number of questions each student has answered today, number of questions each student has answered during the school year, and the total lifetime coins each student has earned.
- ELA: the student's Freckle text level and Word Study level.
The columns are sortable by selecting the column headers; use the Class drop-down list to choose a different class.
To look at a specific student's report card, select View Report Card next to the student's name.
The following information is for the Math Report Card; for the ELA Report Card, see the "Individual Reports" section of "What Individual ELA Reports do we offer?"
When you select View Report Card for a particular student, you will be able to see summaries of their individual activity and performance (including Activity, Assignments, Adaptive Progress, and Standards). Note that in every view you can use the Class, Student, and Time Period drop-down lists at the top of the page to change the data shown.
Activity: Shows the student's activity in different practice modes (you can view all modes at once or select specific modes in the Practice Mode drop-down list). The information shown includes the time activities were completed, the type and content level of each, the length of time spent practicing, the number of questions they answered and their accuracy percentage. Selecting the arrow to the right of the accuracy percentage will show you the questions, the correct answers, and the student's answers.
Assignments: Shows the student's assignment activity. The information shown includes the dates the assignments were assigned and completed, the type and topic of the assignment, the length of time spent on the assignment, the number of questions they answered and their accuracy percentage. Selecting the arrow to the right of the accuracy percentage will show you the questions, the correct answers, and the student's answers.
Adaptive Progress: Displays student data in two different ways: at the top of the page is a graph showing the student's Adaptive Math progress; the key at the bottom lists the latest standards the student worked on in each domain.
Below the graph is a table with focused data for each domain: its name, the student's starting and current level (if the student has performed work in the domain), the number of questions the student answered that are part of that domain, and whether their current level is above ↑ or below ↓ their starting level, with a number indicating how many levels, or standards, of change the student has undergone.
Standards: Shows the standards the student has worked on (you can view standards for all grades and courses at once or select specific grade levels/courses in the View Standards For drop-down list). Each standard shows the number of questions the student has answered relating to the standard, their last practice date, and their accuracy. Select the arrowhead to the left of a standard for a more detailed breakdown at the skill level; select the arrow to the right of the accuracy percentage to see more information about the questions and the student's answers.
Sharing the report cards with Parents and Administrators
The report cards make sharing data with parents and administrators easier than ever. At the top of the report card summary page, select the printing options drop-down list (which shows Print All by default). You can then select the date range for which you would like to print.
You can also share a specific student's report card (with another teacher) or print a specific report card for a parent/teacher conference or when parents/other educators are curious about the progress and/or performance of a particular student. Both of these options are available at the top right of an individual's report card.
