Instructional supports are weaved throughout our various ELA practice products. Please see a list below to reference various “hints” that students can use.
ELA Skills Practice
- When starting a new skill level, students are presented with a short instructional video that provides an overview of the skill.
- When a student's accuracy is 25% or lower in a particular level, he/she is directed towards a remediation pathway that provides scaffolded questions building back up to the main skill question.
- Academic Vocabulary: Students are able to select academic vocabulary, which is underlined, to view or hear a definition in guided questions and prompts.
Articles/Stories
- Vocabulary in Context: When reading articles, students will see important and/or complex vocabulary words underlined. They are able to click on the word to see it defined and hear it read aloud.

Word Study
- There is an instructional component at the start of each new Word Study level. Students are introduced to the content, spelling patterns and sounds included in the level through both visual and audio means.
