Instructional supports are weaved throughout adaptive and targeted math practice. When students get a question wrong, they will automatically be presented with a mix of guided practice examples (when available), hints, and/or videos. Students can also select the question mark to access a guided practice example, the light bulb to see the hint, or the video camera to see the video.
Guided Practice Examples
With Guided Practice, a worked example appears on the screen, and each step requires the student to engage by answering a quick question to get them to think about and comprehend each step of the strategy.
First, Freckle identifies that the student is struggling and offers a Guided Practice example:
Guided Practice then engages students in a step-by-step example of how to solve a problem similar to the question they are struggling with:
Freckle Math currently includes Guided Practice coverage for 100% of K-5 Focus Skills across the US with continued expansion to additional skills, subjects, and grade levels in the upcoming school year.
